Gregory moved to Cape Town at the dawn of the rainbow nation, full of mid 90’s optimism and plans to study Fine Art. Thankfully he dodged that bullet and decided to get a real job. So he studied graphic design and found himself in the world of advertising, focussed primarily on pure design. After about 2 decades working as both a freelancer and full time employee in companies like Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi and Leo Burnett, his role transitioned away from pure design into more art director focused work as a Creative Director - and this meant he was sitting next to great directors, collaborating and learning from them as great work was made. In around 2023, Greg decided to pivot sideways into full time directing, and found his way in through the niche of table top directing - primarily for international coffee brands like Starbucks and Nescafe.
Greg brings his years of experience as a designer, art director and creative director to every project he directs - with a love for the craft of film making, storytelling and running production projects that result in high quality work, he has his sights set on continuing to hone his craft in food and beverage while expanding into other avenues.
